Wynne Nowland

Wynne Nowland, chairwoman and CEO of Bradley & Parker, is a thought leader, change advocate, and experienced corporate insurance professional. Since joining Bradley & Parker in 1986, Nowland’s role has allowed her to serve the firm’s stakeholders, act as the point person for many of its most valuable clients, and negotiate with the commercial insurance companies that Bradley & Parker uses to place its risks. Her expertise in corporate insurance includes worldwide insurance programs, captive insurance, participating insurance programs, and directors and officers liability.
In addition to her professional life, she is an involved member of her community in Head of the Harbor, NY. She has served as chairwoman of the board of The American Heart Association in this region, a board member of the Long Island Insurance Community, and a committee member of The Nature Conservancy. Nowland currently serves on the board of The Long Island Software & Technology Network (LISTnet).
Nowland is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and society. She has authored works published in Fast Company, Business Insurance, and One Green Planet advocating for social change. Nowland has also shared her expertise and unique perspective as a trailblazing LGBTQIA+ executive and has been profiled in first tier media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, NPR, Business Insider, and TODAY.
Her astute eye for design complements her enjoyment of many diverse hobbies, including fashion, music, photography, gourmet cooking, and collectible motorcars. Nowland believes constantly expanding one’s worldview through a variety of activities and perspectives allows for a more informed and inclusive outlook.
