Wynne Nowland, CEO of Bradley & Parker, bylined an article for Fast Company stemming from the Supreme Court’s ruling that the language of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 applies to discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity at work – a major victory for LGBTQ Americans. In her opinion piece, Wynne shares the importance of the Black Lives Matters movement, the value of an inclusive business environment and insights into her personal experience of coming out as a transgendered woman four years ago.

As Wynne shared, “Sometimes people need to be moved by circumstances to challenge their own sense of what is right and wrong, and I think most are arriving at the most beneficial conclusion. That is what those walking arm in arm against injustice and inequality have in common with the colleagues who supported me and the justices in the majority of the recent Supreme Court decision. I look forward to the day when we can reap the rewards of these courageous efforts to eradicate inequality and injustice in all their forms.”
